Hockey Banquet - cont'd from page 1 Mrs. Jackie Calder presented the Calder Memorial Trophy for MVP in the Bantams to Terry Szpak. The Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Association MIP trophy was presented by Mill Manager, John Ferrier to Jim Caron, of the Bantams. In the Midgets, North Shore trophy and crests were presented by Maurice Dozois and Les Kruger to Captain Rick Hamilton. The Minor Hockey Associa- tion trophy for MVP was awarded to Mark Dashkew- ytch by L. Kruger. The Cavanaugh Memorial Trophy for MIP in the Midgets was presented to Dale Randa by Councillor Bray, in the absence of Reeve Cavanaugh. The Best Goal tender Award, the Fisher Memorial Trophy, was presented to Ted Kostiuk, by Mrs. Jean Fisher. Coach of the Year award from the Terrace Bay Minor Hockey Association was presented to Wayne Daley, by Mrs. Ollie Chapman, Chairman of the Recreation Association. Special gifts were presented to two recently re- tired Recreation Centre caretakers, for their invalu=- able service over the past years, Willie Heinrich from Bill McKie and Cliff Barker from Paul Pluta. President Dozois called George Dashkewytch up to accepted a surprise gift of a clock, George was honoured for his untiring efforts on behalf of Minor Hockey. L. Kruger gave the winning puck of the North Shore Midget Championship game to Mark Dashkew- ytch, who had scored the goal to win the game. The puck had been specially mounted for Mark. Captain Rick Hamilton, of the Midgets, called L. Kruger, and S. Zwaresh to come forward and accept a special gift of appreciation as Coach and Manager of the Midgets, respectively, for their efforts in promoting Minor Hockey. To finish off the evening, a film of the Stanley Cup Play-offs 1966-67 between Toronto and Montreal was shown. = All photos by M. Lundberg.
