The wedding will take place June 17 1972 in St. Martin of Tours Church, Terrace Bay. MOTHERS SERVED DINNER BY MEN It was Mom's Day on Sunday, especially at 5p.m. when the men of the Community Church showed what they could do in presenting a gourmet smorgasbord dinner, and Mother could be served, with her family at a table she didn't have to set, and get up with that lovely feeling of "No dishes tonight". The United Nations dinner, so called because of the variety of foods served, with dishes of many ethnic origins, was planned, prepared for, and cleaned up after by the men of the congregation, with the proceeds going to the ongoing work of the Church. Don Laporte was the head man, but he had many assistants. Bill Jones took tickets at the door and while it is impossible to remember all the men who worked out front and behind the scenes, we did see Dr. McCausland there, and wondered if he had been asked in his official capacity to carve the turkey. Dan Rafalant will probably be complaining | about dish pan hands for quite a while. While the little woman perhaps was one of the behind the scene workers, because | don't really think that the men did all the cooking of those lovely casseroles, rolls, cakes and pies, they are to be highly commended for a job well done. ADMINISTRATOR OUTLINES AIMS OF AUXILIARY The beautiful lounge of the Terrace Bay Motor , Hotel was the setting for a Hospital Day Tea on Friday afternoon May 12th, from 2 to 4 p.m. Mr. J.A. Ferrier, Mill Manager of Kimberly- Clark, graciously offered the use of the lounge for a Membership Tea, a preliminary to the actual formation of a Ladies Auxiliary to McCausland Hospital . Mrs. J. Caccamo, Mrs. D. Stewart, of Terrace Bay, and Mrs. R. McAdam and Mrs. N. McGurie : of Schreiber were the organizing committee for the tea. Mrs. R. Mitchell sold memberships at the door, and Mrs. W. McKechnie was in charge of kitchen arrangements, assisted by Mrs. M. Mahoney . Delicious sandwiches and small cakes were arranged on a long table, centred by a floral arrangement and flanked by yellow daffodils. At 3 p.m., Mrs. Caccamo introduced Mr. V. Mazzone, Hospital Administrator. He thanked Kimberly-Clark for the use of the hotel for the tea, and the ladies who had planned it, provided the food, and welcomed all the ladies who showed their interest in the formation of the auxiliary. Mr. Mazzone briefly outlined the functions of an auxiliary to a hospital. He stated that the president of the proposed auxiliary will be an ex-officio mem- ber of the Board of Governors. One of the aims of the auxiliary will be to raise funds to aid the board in pyrchasing needed equip- ment, not otherwise provided. cont'd page 4 es 000 NOTICE TO CREDITORS of the Estate of HARRY BAIN, Pinewood Court, Thunder Bay, Retired Fisherman, who died on or about the 29th day of February, 1972 Take notice that all persons having claims against this Estate are required to send to the undernamed their names and particulars of their claims on or before the 31st day of May, 1972, after which date the Estate will be distributed having regard only to the claims of which the Executor then has notice.
