'Sympathy is expressed to Mr. Terry Dorland, in the passing of his Mother, in a Toronto hospital. Mr. Dorland attended the funeral services which were held in 'Wellington. "Mrs. Mary Jones, of Stoke-on-Trent, England, is visiting for three weeks with her son Pat Jones and family. This is Mrs. Jones" first trip to Canada, and the people of Terrace Bay and the weather seem to be co-operating to give her a warm welcome. Some Terrace Bay residents were noticed among the huge crowd at Selkirk High School auditorium when the Fort William Male Choir presented their latest concert, Prelude to Spring. They were Mr..and Mrs. A. Farrow, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. H. Boudreau, Claudette and Lita, Mr. and Mrs. A. Almos, Mrs. C. Buck and' Mrs. M. Lundberg. The Fifth Convocation of the Confederation College of Applied Arts and Technology was held on Saturday May 13th at the Shuniah Building of the College. This is the first occasion on which Convocation has been held in the College's own facilities. Graduates from the Terrace Bay area who received their diplomas at the 1972 Convocation were: Catherine Bailey, fwas officiated by Father Greengrass on May 5th, Secretarial Arts; Colleen Kenney (Rossport), Early Childhood Education and Neil Valentino (Schreiber). Civil Engineering Technology. A happy reunion was experienced recently when Mr. and Mrs. Herald Falls of Meldrun Bay, Manitou- lin Island visited Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gould. Mrs. Gould and Mrs. Falls have been pen pals since early childhood and have not seen each other since their teens. Since Mr. Gould was in hospital during the visit Mr. Falls took in some fishing and gave the ladies a chance to renew old times. MARRIAGE ANNOUNCEMENT Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tiboni, Terrace Bay are pleased to announce the marriage of their son Joseph to Albertine Landry of Hearst, Ontario.
