APRIL 20, 1972 TERRACE BAY NEWS PAGE 11 COLE & ANDREW DQUBLE RING CEREMONY ON April 8th, in a double ring ceremony in St. Andrew's United Church in Schreiber, Rev. E.C. Prinselaar solemnized the marriage vows of Harriet Eve Cole, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Harry Cole of Schreiber, and Gary Russell Andrews of Schreiber, son of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Andrews, of Bishop's Falls Newfoundland. Mrs. George Lengyel was the organist and the church was adorned with white lillies for the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was gowned in white silk lace combined with nylon sheer. The lace formed the bodice, lily point sleeves, and extended in deep points over the sheer skirt displayed over hoops. Silver sequins were embroidered on the . stand-up collar and the yoke of the bodice. Her bouffant veil was caught to a cluster of white roses and she carried a cascade of red roses spiced with lily of the valley. Robert Cole, brother of the bride, was the best man | Mrs. Robert Cole, who attended the bride, chose a soft yellow chiffon gown, with fitted bodice, short sleeves, mandarin collar, and softly-full skirt. Her bouquet was a shasta mum in white, edged with white lacelon. Malcolm Cole, brother of the bride, was the usher. For their wedding trip to White River and other points in the district, the bride donned a blue pant suit, topped by a short leopard jacket. They will make their home in Schreiber. The wedding dinner was given in St. Andrew's Churc hall. The wedding cake, iced in pale blue, with white roses edging the three tiers, was topped with a bride and groom under an arch of orange blossoms, with doves holding the two wedding rings. During the evening a party for relatives and friends was held in the home of the bride's parents. For the wedding the Bride's mother chose a pale blue skimmer, with contour seaming, topped with fur jacket her hat and accessories in white, and her corsage of pink carnations and lily of the valley. Among those atten ding the wedding from out of town were Mrs & Mr. Robert Cole, withBebbie, Cindy Bonnie, Carrie Lee, and Robbie of Manitouwadge, Mr. & Mrs. Aubrey Andrews, and Keith Andrews of White River. RUBY REBEKAH LODGE " The Charter was draped in memory of Mrs. Florence Groat, Past President of The International Association of Rebekah Assemblies, at the regular meeting of Ruby Rebekah Lodge in Schreiber on April 12. Mrs. Gladys Hamilton was noble grand and Mrs. Norman Fummerton, ONG, was acting vice grand. The inventory report was given by Mrs. Florence Fischer and the visiting report by Mrs. Fummerton. Mrs. Chris Morris gave a lengthy report of the Dist. Association meeting which she and Mrs. Helen Wallace had attended in Thunder Bay on April 8. Mrs. Hamilton reporting for the C.P.T. committee, stated a most successful penny auction had been held on March 24, and that a commode chair has been purchased for the community patients. The home bingos and penny auction on March 10, and the April 5 hoje card parties were well patronized Six members were hostesses for the card games, with 51 players and highest and lowest scores won by Mrs. Nettie Thrower and Mrs. Judy Cameron. An invitation was received from Agate Rebekah Lodge to attend a May Day Tea on April 26 in Thunder Bay. A donation was arude to the Cancer Society. Mrs. Mary Legault was nominated as representative to the Rebekah Assembly in June, with Mrs. Helen Wallace as alternate, and Mrs. Ruth Macadam as Scholar. Mrs. Winnie Clemens and Mrs. Macadam were elected as representatives on the district hassociation. Mrs. Iris Miller, D.D.P. will pay her official visit to Ruby Rebekah on April 26, and following the meeting there will be a card party and social. Plans were completed for the Spring Tea being held on April 22 from 3 - 5:30 in the town hall, with a cold plate being served. Additional attractions will be home baking and candy, draw prize and door prize = the public is cordially invited to attend. BOTTOMLEY - DOUBLE FUNERAL HELD The Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church in Schreiber was filled, on April 11, for the double funeral of Kevin Brian Bottomley, in his 14th year, son of Mr. & Mrs. Neil Bottomley, and Rodrigue (Rod) Cormier in his 15th year, son of Mr. & Mrs, Simon Cormier.
