It appears that the re-evaluation of the club which recently took place had some impact on our players as they defeated Marathon last Sunday, December 13th, to the tune of 7 to 2. The club has certainly improved collectively | and if this type of play-making continues, our local fans should be in store for some good compe- titive hockey. Let's give our players and management the backing that they deserve = win or lose. Sup- port our SUPERIORS by attending the following home games: Saturday, December 19th - Geraldton vs Terrace Bay - game time 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20th - Geraldton vs Terrace Bay-game time 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22nd - Schreiber vs Terrace Bay ~ game time 8:00 p.m. MINOR HOCKEY RESULTS Qur local minor hockey teams have just completed a successful weekend of hockey by taking three out of the four games on Saturday, December 12th. Our local Minor Peewees displayed a great deal of enthusiasm by de- feating Marathon 3 to 2. In the next encounter, the Major Pee- wees played a good passing, game and good positional hoc- key, and defeated Marathon 4 to 2. In the only loss of the afternoon, the Bantams went down to defeat 4 to 2. It ap~ pears that some extra work will have to be done defensively. In the final game of the after- noon, the Midgets defeated Marathon 7 = 4. It certainly is rewarding to see the interest and enthusiasm displayed by our local Midgets.
