Week of November 22nd, 1970 to November 28th, 1970. The past week was extremely quiet as the members of this detachment were not called on to investigate any occurrences of criminal nature. On the traffic scene three property damage collis- ions occurred. None of the mishaps resulted in in- jury to persons. Property damage totalled approxim= ately $1200.00. A tractor-trailer unit operated by Arnold Ralph Yorke, age 35 of 666 Nairn Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, left the road approximately 1 mile west of Little Pic River Bridge, during the early hours of November 25th. Extensive damage was inflicted to the tractor. A collision with wooden guide post 2 1/2 miles east of Steel River on Highway 17 resulted in approx- imately $250.00 damage to a car driven by Ruth Juliann Chliwny, age 39, of 12 Sandpiper Avenue, Manitouwadge. The mishap occurred about 8:00 a.m | November 27, 1970. A similar collision occurred just west of the C.P. R. Overhead bridge approximately 3 miles east of Schreiber, on November 28, 1970 about 10:00 p.m. The vehicle involved was driven by Floyd Morley Liebrock, age 39 of 251 Kenogami Road, Terrace Bay. Approximately $500.00 was sustained by the vehicle. Snow vehicle operators please bear in mind that it is unlawful to operate a motorized snow vehicle, on a highway, (which includes any street, avenue or road other than private) unless you are holding a valid chauffeur's or operators licence. It is also an offence for the owner or a person in possession to permit anyone who is not holding a chauffeur's or operator's licence, to operate the machine on a highway . Parents who allow their children to operate these machines are urged to not only tell their children they must not operate them on the roads or streets but to follow-up and ensure that their particular son or daughter is complying with these laws. Ukrainian and Irish in descent, he has brown curly hair with auburn highlights, brown eyes and fair skin. A birth- mark on his cheek is fading and will likely disappear. Michael started life as a tense baby and was on sedatives for three months. He is much more relaxed now and gets no medication at all. He is in good health and sleeps well. This laddie is shy with strangers, but when he is with people he knows he is a happy, good-natured boy who can play contentedly by himself. He loves children. Any day now he will walk. Michael needs parents who will appreciate a lovable young son and whose academic expectations will not be too demanding.
