Games and dancing were enjoyed with prizes won by Maxine Holland, Gail Bottomley, and Laura Carmiachel. The lunch was served by Mrs. O'Brien, Mrs. Emmett Holland, and Jane Duggan. The big cake was made and decorated by Mrs. Harry Duggan. lan Macadam recently conducted a most successful gun safety class attended by 45. The fire brigade will hold their Halloween masked ball on October 30 in the town hall, with a door prize and costume prizes. The Women's Institute will sponsor a discussion on citizenship on Wednesday October 2I at 7:30 in the Lodge room in the town hall. The meeting is arrang- ed fo gather opinions on the proposed changes in the Citizenship Act. The appointed officers are Mrs. Helen D'Arcy, chaplain; Mrs. Eirene Harness, conductor; Mrs. Della Moore, warden; Mrs. Lillian Christie, color bearer; Mrs. Agnes Bryson, P.N.G. musician; Mrs. Mary Legault, P.N.G., R.S.N.G; Mrs. Elizabeth Harris, L.S.N.G o; Mrs. Bern Whent, P.N.G. --- R.5.V.G.; Mrs. Glorie Miller, L.S.V.G.; Mrs. Chris. Morris, J.P.N.G. Mrs. Edith Ibey and Mrs. lleene Williamson, scene supporters; Mrs. Georgina Davis, |1.G. Morris N.G. presided and welcomed Mrs. Hadfield, D.D.P. of District 41, who was intro- duced by Mrs. Helen Wallace, P.D.D.P., and Mrs. Mavis Slater, Warden of the Rebekah Assembly of Ontario, who was introduced by Mrs. Eirene Harness. Each guest was presented with a corsage. Mrs. Morris also welcomed the members of the installing team and Mrs. Florence Higgens and Mrs. Jessie Macadam, both members of Ruby Rebekah, but now residing in Thunder Bay. Mrs. Slater spoke briefly, congratulating the new officers and wishing them a successful year. Mrs. Hadfield thanked the lodge for her corsage and for the dinner which was served prior to the meeting. She urged the members to work together for the good of Rebekah Odd Fellowship. It was announced that Mrs. [Audrey Miller, president of the Rebekah Assembly, will make her official visit to Ruby Rebekah on May 15. Mrs. Marg Kragero pinned the past noble grand's jewel on Mrs. Morris, who thanked the members and her officers of their support during her térm of office. Mrs. O. Stevenson brought greetings from Agate Lodge. Mrs. Gladys Hamilton and Mrs. Jean Fischer congratulated the retiring officers and wished the new suite a successful year. Mrs. Beth Macadam, the new N.G. read a lengthy list of her working committees for the year. Following the meeting a social was enjoyed in the lower hall and lunch served by Mrs. Hamilton's com- mittee.
