QUINTON Mrs. Tom Quinton, (nee Sandy Kragero) was hon- oured by her friends at a shower-tea arranged in St. John's Church hall on Friday evening, October 9th. Assisting in receiving were her mother, Mrs. R. Kragero and Mrs. Walter Klassen. Tea was poured by Mrs. Tom Bryant, Mrs. J.D. Bryson, Mrs. Keith Scott and Mrs. Ethel Smitherman. Plans were made for lunch to be served at the social evening on October 18th in the church hall. Mrs. Frank Fummerton presided for the meeting, Mrs. Walter Dukes read minutes and correspondence, and in the absence of Mrs. Bill Thrower, Mrs. John Spillane presented. the financial statement. Mr . Prinselaar showed a film on Brazil, made by the Canadian Bible Society. Lunch was served by Mesdames Tommy Whent, Nelson Smith and A. Niemi.
