OCTOBER 15, 1970 TERRACE BAY NEWS 'PAGE 11 Lake Superior Board of Education WILL OFFER THE FOLLOWING COURSE IN THE RESPECTIVE LOCATIONS Sewing -- Schreiber High School Typewriting -- Terrace Bay High School : IF AT LEAST 15 APPLICANTS REGISTER. REGISTRATION WILL BE TAKING PLACE FOR EACH COURSE AT 7:00 p.m. on MONDAY, OCTOBER 9TH IN THE RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS. THE FEE 1S $10.00 PER COURSE. "Education is a continuing process" E.J. Morgan R.W. A Legion Mixed Bowling League has been formed with five full mixed teams. Since only four teams can bowl in ones evening, one team will receive a Bye each week. Participants can ind their respactive team on the list ai the Leglon or by calling Pat Jones. The first games will commence Friday Uctobsr 15th at 7.00 P.M, : Tt 13 elss hoped that Mixed Curling teams from the Branch will Zurl on Sunday afternoons. If you ars interested, put your name on the list in the Legion, Bishop Norman Gallagher of the Fort William Diocese, was TERRACE BAY LEGION NEWS All members are reminded of the dart and cribbage tournament October 24th. beginning at 1.00 p.m. A social with music will follow and awards will be presented for past activities. As an added feature, fresh oysters will be available. This entire day is open to members of Branch 223 and out of town guests visiting Branch members. On Hallowe'en night, October 31st., there will be a Box Social and it is hoped that all will attend in costumes. A Box Social of this type was held in the past and proved fo be very enjoyable. The Branch is now selling tickets on a new 20 H.P. Ski-Doo. There will be only 500 tickets sold at $2.00 each. Proceeds are intended to make this years Snow Machine Races more attractive, by offering bigger and better cash awards. Armistice Day will be observed by this Branch on November 7, 1970. A parade to the Cenotaph will fall in at 10.45 A.M. Members are asked to be in front of the Recreation Centre by 10.30 A.M. The Banquet will be held at the Masonic Hall followed by a social evening. Tickets will go on sale soon at $2.50 each for the Banquet and Dance.
