PAGE 12 TERRACE BAY NEWS AUGUST 27, 1970 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR TERRACE BAY RESIDENT Funeral Services for Mr. Jim Lawrence, age 57, who passed away suddenly in the McCausland Hos- pital on August 22nd, were held in the Terrace Bay Community Church on Monday, August 24th at 2 p.m., with Major Goodrich of the Salvation Army officiating. Born in Thunder Bay, Mr. Lawrence had been employed by Kimberly-Clark for the past twenty-one years. Mr. Lawrence was a veteran member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, Terrace Bay. Com- rades Pat Jones, Alphonse Theriault, John Ropchan, George Ramsay, Charlie Koski and Clarence Mercier were active pall bearers. Honorary pall bearers were Con MacDonald, Eli Salesse, Ken McLeod, Wilf Corrigan, Albert Cadieux, John Santerre, George Churney and Mike Smilsky. Ushers were Bill Baillie and John Ropchan. Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife Florence, five daughters, Lynda, at home; Alice, Mrs. J. Yates; Jean, Mrs. W. Fisher, Terrace Bay; Violet, Mrs. C. Turnbull; Shirley, Mrs. K. Hanlon; his mother, Mrs. R. Lawrence, all of Thunder Bay and four sisters and one brother. Pat Jones was in charge of funeral arrangements on behalf of the Legion members, who stood Guard of Honour at the Church. Comrade in charge at the Legion Graveside Service was President, George Churney. Interment was in the Terrace Bay Cemetery.
