Johnson in Terrace Bay Community Church on Friday, July 17th. Interment was in Terrace Bay Cemetery. Born in Matapedia, Quebec on September 22, 1920 Mr. Moores served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1939 to 1945. In 1946 he married the former Grace Adams. They moved to Terrace Bay in 1948 where they have since made their home. A member of Terrace Bay Branch 223, Royal Canadian Legion, Comrades P. Coupal,W. Corrigan , J. Falzetta, K. McLeod, J. Lawrence and G. Ramsey served as Pallbearers. Legion members took part in a graveside service. He was predeceased by a brother in 1943 and his father in 1969. Survivors are his wife Grace, one daughter Lynn (Mrs. N.. Boon), and three sons, Eroll, Robert and Randy. Local instructors Dick Mannisto, Pat Smith, Bob Sievers and Jim Corrigan are attempting to form an All-star team. Any boys interested in trying out for the team are asked to attend tomorrow night's session at 6.30 p.m. in the Arena. The League is open to boys 10 years of age and over.
