Cornell in Osoyoos, B.C. and while there will attend the convocation exer- cises of St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, when her sister Andrea will be one of graduating nurses, on | TERRACE BAY NEWS JULY 23, 1970 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR WALTER SHEVCHUK e Ttuneral of the late Walter Snevchuk, whose death occurred in a Thunder Bay Hospital on July 10th, was conducted in Schreiber on July 13th by the Rev. Arthur Chabot in St. John's Anglican Church. Interment was in Schreiber cemetery. Mr. Shevchuk is survived by his wife, the former Zofia Kyziak whom he married in 1924, a daughter Mary (Mrs. Nick Youzwa) of Cameron Falls, a son Peter of Medley, Alta. and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son Victor in 1967 and a sister Mrs. Mary Polinuk of Nipigon in 1958. Pall bearers were Alex Furyk, Phillip Dankovich, Walter Ilijow, Michael Smilsky, Walter Lewicki and Paul Humenicki. Mr. Shevchuk, born in Poland in 1901, served for two years in the Polish army. His marriage took place there and in 1926 he came to Schreiber. He was employed with the Canadian Pacific Railway until his retirement in 1966. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees. Hol- land, whose death at the age of 72, occurred in hospital on July 12th, was conducted in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church on July 15th by Dean J.M. Cano.
