Routine business was transacted. The Annual Meeting of the Terrace Bay Figure Skating Club was prece ded by a dinner held in the Church Hall of St. Martin's Church. The Ladies of the Catholic Women's League out did themselves in serving a most delicious hot turkey dinner. 120 attended the banquet, of these sixty-four were skaters and fifty-six parents and guests. President, Eric Opas welcomed the guests, and asked Mrs. Ruth Mitchell to say Grace. Special invited guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Dupas, Recreation Co-Ordinator, Miss Elizabeth Hayes, Club Professional and Mrs. M. Bougie,; Secretary - Mrs. Marg Roberts; Treasurer - Mrs. Shirley Opas; President of Ladies Auxiliary - Mrs. Dorothy Dakin; RETAIL SALES TAX CHANGES A recent bulletin from the Ontario Department of Revenue outlines recent changes in the Retail Sales Tax. The following changes should be noted: - "Place of Amusement" - Act 1 (7a) - The paragraph has been expanded to include, in addition to those places already mentioned in it, a place where a public dance is held if liquor, beer or wine are served at the dance. This means a 10 percent tax must be collected on the price of admission to such dances, or otherwise in accordance with Act 2 (Ic). ] "Production for own Use" - Act 1 (11) (g) - The definition of "sale" now includes the consumption of a taxable service-by a vendor who produced the tax-} able service.
