Kenney. | Mrs. Roy Rochon and children are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. Hubelit while Mr. Rochon has left for British Columbia to look for work. Clem Downey is holidaying with relatives in Eastern Canada. Mr. and Mrs. A. Minoletti and Mr. J.P. Mino- letti of Thunder Bay visited Mr. and Mrs. P. Testori on the weekend. Eighteen flocks of geese passed over the village Friday enroute to their northern nesting grounds. Thirty settled in the open water at the point at the entrance of the harbour Monday afternoon. One curious old bird walked halfway to the government dock over the harbour ice. After satisfying his curiousty, he waddled back and joined his followers at the point. A few ducks have been seen in open patches of water. There's a bit of activity at the dock these days with fishermen settling their boats and preparing for the opening of the fishing season. They spend the winter months mending their nets. The villagers miss the Tug Whalen which broke the harbour ice allowing tugs and boats to get to open water. Deer and moose have been seen on the highway after being holed up in their winter grounds.
