Cano officiated for the double ring ceremony when Catherine Mary, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David McLellan, and Daniel (Danny) John Riley, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Riley junior, all of Schreiber, were married in Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church on April 11th. Both sets of parents participated in the rite. Miss Brenda Lalonde was organist and Giovanni Cebrario the soloist. The ushers were Terry Singleton and Lloyd Mc- Lellan. The bride's gown was A = Line floor lengih peau de soie with detachable train. Daisy trim marked the Empire waistline and was also used on the leg-of- mutton sleeves. Her shoulder length tiered chiffon veil was held by ring band and she carried a crescent of yellow roses. Her attendants were Miss Monica Gauthier as maid of honor and Miss Norma McLellan as bridesmaid, both wearing aqua floor length gowns, the short sleeves complemented by long white gloves. Daisy trim marked tne empire waists and also formed circlets for their heads. Their bouquets were white carna- tions. : Jack McGrath was best man and Eric Handel the groomsman . Following the ceremony a wedding dinner for im- mediate relations was given in the United Church Hall, when Jack Handel was Master of Ceremonies. For an evening reception in the town hall Mrs. McLellan chose a dress with matching coat in pale blue, white accessories and corsage of red roses. Mrs .Riley, who assisted in receiving, wore a navy and white ensemble with corsage of red carnatigns. The guestbook was circulated by Sherry Archer. For their wedding trip to Niagara Falls the bride chose a dress and coat in matching lilac. They will make their home in Schreiber . Prior to their marriage the bride was entertained by her friends at a community shower and the groom at a stag party. ANGLICAN WOMEN PLAN MOTHER'S DAY TEA A donation to the Canadian Cancer Society was made at the April meeting of the Anglican Church Women, with :Mrs. Reg. Bailey presiding. Final plans were made for serving a wedding sup- per on April 25 and the Mother's Day Tea on May 9. A letter of thanks was received from the High School stud ent council for a donation made to them.| | Notice was received of the annual meeting of the Anglican Church Women of the diocese of Algoma being held on May 5 and 6th in Thunder Bay. Minutes of the past meeting by Mrs .Bob Ellicott and the financial statement by Mrs.Jack Bryson were adopted as read. Mrs .Ellicott was lunch hostess and Mrs .Bryson will be the May meeting hostess. GUIDE-BROWNIE AUXILIARY MEETS Mrs.Mary Shack, commissioner, presided for a meeting of the Local Association for Guides and Brownies held in the Catholic parish centre. The financial statement was adopted as read by Mrs.Melvin Glad. It was decided that membership fees must be paid on registration night, two prior to the beginning of the Brownie program. An enthusiastic vote of appreciation was made to the Catholic Women's League for paying both unit and membership fees for the Brownies, and to Mrs. Alice McCouan for making the semaphore flags used by the girls. A Bake-less-bake-sale will be held at an early date. A vote of appreciation was made to Mrs.Rol- and Welsh for her interest and work with the girls before she left Schreiber for a new home. After some discussion it was decided to défer the annual mother and daughter banquet until next Fall. A social hour, with coffee and cakes, was en- joyed at the close of the meeting. Mr.and Mrs .Chal .McCuaig of Atikokan spent the weekend with Mr.and Mrs.Lester McCuaig.
