Ballentine presiding. Mrs. C. Mercier read the minutes and Mrs. P. Jones gave the treasurers report. Mrs. Paul Sodaro was installed by the president, and welcomed to the club by the members. After a short discussion period, it was decided to hold a penny auction and card party at the Legion Club Room on April 19th. Mrs. R. Dakin and Mrs. P. Rochon agreed to con- vene same. Bursaries were ordered to be given to elementary school pupils at the end of the school team. A shuffleboard tournament was planned, to once again invite the neighbouring Schreiber Auxiliary, and Mrs. D. Gunter was to arrange a tentative date. Both teams will be playing hard for the famous "Harry Gusul Trophy", Lunch was served by the committee in charge. Mrs. D. Gunter won the Pot of Gold. CAN OUR OBJECTIVE OF $1,800 BE MET? With the end of the 1970 Easter Seal Campaign approaching, it is disappointing to} 7 note that only 374 people from the Schreiber -TerraceBay-Marathon area have donated to the Crippled Children Easter Seal Fund. As previously mentioned, half of the - proceeds collected in the area go directly to support local Crippled Children.
