B 4 | PAGE 12 CHALK UP TWO MORE FOR TERRACE BAY HIGH There was real action in good old Terrace Bay High School last week. The girls basketball team > came away with the Western Division Championship after two close games played against Schreiber on Monday and Tuesday, the total score being 64-63 for N.S.S.S.A.A. Finals which they won by defeating the Manitouwadge girls team with a score of 46-28. Terrace Bay also-hosted the boys N.S.S.S.A.A. basketball finals and North Shore Cheerleading competition on Wednesday. Classes were dismissed early for these events and students lined the walls _ of the gym. The Marathon boys competed against Schreiber for the title and succeeded with a score of 35-24 for Marathon. Between games Cheerleading competitions were held. With only a'seven point margin between ' winner and last place, Schreiber topped the rest. Competing squads were from Manitouwadge, Marathon, Nip-Rock, Schreiber, Terrace Bay and Wawa. Coming events - N.W.O. Girls basketball finals - March 13th and 14th in Terrace Bay - teams from Thunder Bay (Selkirk High) Dryden, Schreiber and Terrace Bay. Come out and support your team! Cathy Melnyk.
