The meeting was well attended by members from throughout the riding. Delegates were appointed and resolutions prepared for presentation at the Ontario Progressive Conservative Association annual meeting to be held in Toronto on December 5-6-7. Other matters discussed included Indian Senior Citizens Home, OHSIP, and affiliation with Y.P. C. groups. ART CLUB PLANS NIGHT CLASSES The November 6th meeting of the Art Club opened with minutes of the previous meeting read. The Annual Art Exhibit has been postponed to early spring - however the draw on the painting will be held as scheduled on the 22nd of November at the Charter Night Banquet and Dance for the Mentally Retarded. Miss Muff, craft Supervisor for On- tario was guest speaker,and Miss Phillips showed very interesting slides on Travelling Arts and Crafts. Night school art classes may be held if enough registrations are received. This course is open to anyone in Schr- eiber or Terrace Bay. Any person interested in the course please regis- ter at either Schreiber or Terrace Bay High School . Work sessions will be held as usual on Thursday's in the Art Room of the Recreation Centre. Worthy Matron Mrs. D. Whitton and Worthy Patro A. McKechnie presided over the meeting. The min- utes of the previous meeting were read by Secretary Mrs. D. Rummery and treasurer's statement by Mrs. A. Farrow. All convene:s of various committees gave their monthly and annual reports which stated that Silver Birch had a most successful year. Gener: al business of the Chapter was dealt with in the usual manner. At the close of the meeting a most impressive Installation Ceremony was performed with Sister E. Beddard P.M. as installing matron and Sister Barbara Haughn P.M, as installing marshal . Soloists for the evening were Mr. Clar- ence Buck accompanied by Mrs. P. Buck and Mrs. Jan Crook accompanied by Mrs. Jean Roberts. The officers who were installed for the year 69-70 were as follows: - Worthy Matron - Mrs. Doris Almos; Worthy Patron - Rev. G.
