Klassen was welcomed as a visitor by Mrs. Wesley Clemens, president, at the regular October meeting of the United Chur~h Women. Mrs. C.E. Prinselaar chose Thanksgiving as the theme for the devotional period. The roll was answered by a donation of print for aprons and Mrs. Steve Tetrushack volunteered to assist Mrs. Oscar Niemi, sewing convener, in mak- _ ing these for the Christmas Bazaar. Mrs. Jim Cook reported on the recent church of- ficial board meeting, commenting on the most successful Fall Fair and thanking the U.C .W. for their big contributions in both work and donations. It was decided te discuss with the Anglican Church Women the possibility of placing the church cal- endars order for next year together . Mrs. Clemens and Mrs. Russell MacAdam gave an inventory of the church kitchen cupboards. Further plans were discussed for the Christmas Bazaar on November 29th in the town hall from 2.30 to 5 p.m. It was decided to sponsor a public meeting in the interest of Pinewood Court on October 9th in the town hall, when Mrs, P. Delvechio will be one of the speakers and lunch will be served. ; An invitation was sent to Father J.M. Cano and members of the Catholic Women's League to attend the regular meeting of the U.C.W. on Nov. 5th. The committee to serve the Kinsmen Lunch on October 18th will be Mesdames Clemens, R.G. MacAdam, Jim Gray, Earl Holmes, Walter Dukes. | and John Spillane. Following the business meeting Dr. Timothy Wykes spoke on the medical care in England and various other matters. Lunch was served by Mesdmaes Jim Cook, Bill Gerow and Ivor Jacomb. REBEKAHS HOLD REGULAR MEETING Mrs. Norman Fummerton, N.G. and Mrs. Christine Morris, V.G. were in charge of the regular Rebekah meeting.
