PAGE 18 HOME AND SCHOOL FUTURE BRIGHT During the first weeks of school several requests were received by the office of the principal regard ing the installation of a Home and School Associa- tion. After some discussion it was decided that a survey was in order. A recent circular to parents of pupils attending the Schreiber Public School revealed the following encouragement: - Parents wishing to join a Home and School Associa-- tion - 80; Those not wishing to join - 9; Those in favour of an association exclusive to the public school - 55; Those in favour of amalgamation with the High School Association - 13; Those undecided about which type of association they'd prefer - 12. Analysis of these results and proposals for early commencement of an association will be a major concern during the next few days. An announcement to parents as to the date, time, and place of the inaugural meeting shall be forth- coming soon. ROSSPORT ~ TOWN TOPICS Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Hubelit and Kindric of Wawa, Ont. spent the weekend at their summer camp here. Mrs. Percy Sully has returned from Vancouver B.C. after a six month visit with her daughter and son in-law Mr. and Mrs. M. MacGregor. Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Todesco spent the weekend with relatives in Beardmore, Ont. Mr .and Mrs. R.T.Kenney have returned from a holiday spent in Ottawa and the U.S.A. They brought home some Cohoe salmon they caught on the South shore of Lake Superior. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Gerow and family have returned from Chapleau, Ont. Mr. Jos. Brassard is a patient in Deer Lodge hospital, in Winnipeg, Man. Mr.and Mrs. Peter Testori, Mr. and Mrs. Gerow, Peter and Cathy Gerow spent the weekend in Fort William, with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Gerow and Michael of Wawa, Ont. visited the Mac Hubelits during the week. Rev.
