LORNE O'NEIL The funeral of Mrs. Lorne O'Neil, 46, of Schreiber, who died Sept. 5 was held in St. An- drew's United Church by Rev. C. She came to Canada in 1946, moving to Schreiber in 1948. She served with the WAAF's in Britain in liaison with the Canadian Forces, She organized TOWN TOPICS Mrs. Henry Davis and her sis- ter, Mrs. Edna Sutherland of 'Regina, are guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lidkea. : _ Mr. and Mrs. L. Wrightsell of Port Arthur visited Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Bolan en route -home after a visit in Eastern Ontario. Mr. and Mrs. John Tomiak of Winnipeg are visiting Mrs. Nellie Mkyichuk who resides with Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Le- Blanc. Mr. Tomiak is Mrs. Mkyichuk's brither. a yard of materia] to make aprons for the Christmas ba- zaar, Members agreed to assist the church board at the coming fall fair by looking after the bake table and lunch booth and canvassing members for dona- tions, Mrs, Clemens thanked all those who had assisted at the various projects by donating or serving. It was agreed to cater for a Kinsmen luncheon on Oct. 16 in the Guild Hall. Mesdames Clemens, David Nesbitt and Frank Fummerton wene tea hostesses. and was commanding officer of Terrace Bay Wrenettes and saw them participate in Centennial celebrations for Canada, A keen supporter of 'hockey, she was one of the original committee members who promoted the ar- tificial ice installation in Schrei- -ber Arena. - Survivors include her hus- band, and children, Michael and Tammy, at home; Ian O'Neil, London, James, Vancouver; Barbara, Fort William; par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. James Smart; a brother, Bill Smart, Schreiber, a grandmother and other relatives in Scotland. Attending the service from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rescigno, Judy Rescig- no, Mr. and Mrs. George Cham- berlain, Fort William; Mr. and Mrs, John Laing and Ian Laing, Atikokan, as well as a number of friends from Terrace Bay. John Peterson of Fort William visited Sean Paradis last week. They then left together for Sault Ste. Marie where they will at-. tend college. David LeBlanc has gone to work at Lynn Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Smith and family have moved to Vancouv- er. Mr. and Mrs. Con Duggan are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Grant Darling in Kapuskasing. Visiting with Mr. and Mrs. .George Riley this week were .
