(Mugg's) McCuaig's 78 birthday on August 31. His twenty grandchildren, 18 of whom live in Schreiber, had their party during the afternoon. With an engineer, two conductors, and a des- patcher, all retired, along with séveral railroaders still working, the railway talk was lively and hilarious as various events were recalled. And, with Mrs. Alice Carmody, of Fort William present, the very early days in Schreiber were discussed with amusement. Throughout the evening, the kitchen table, card game, a commonplace at Muggs', went on with changing players but the remarks also as usual vociferous but good natured. The many gifts were for the most part amusing and received with equal appreciation by Muggs in his usual humorous remarks. : The party was arranged by his daughters - Sandy (Mrs. Pat Bourguignon); Doris (Mrs, Paul Gauthier); Betty (Mrs. Art Huard); Audrey (Mrs. Mike Morgan); and Miss Myran McCuaig . Attending the occasion from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCuaig (son) and family of Port Arthur; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Auger, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Carmody, Mrs. Alice Carmody, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mclsaac, Leonard Payette, Miss Norma Lynn Priestly and George Smith of Fort William; TERRACE BAY NEWS SEPTEMBER 11, 1969 \ Mr. and Mrs. George Burns, of Terrace Bay; Mr. and Mrs. Armand Huard, of White River dnd Miss Helen Jones of Fort William.
