Receiving with Miss Huard were her mother, Mrs. David Huard, Miss Yvonne Huard, her sister, and Mrs, Edwin Holmes, aunt of her fiance. Ernest Willoughby, aunt of Mr. Halonen's, Mrs. Margaret McKenna and Mrs. C.A. Courtemanche. The servitors were Mesdames Earl Welbourne, George Burns (Terrace Bay), Camille Perras, Michael Morgan, Gabriel Gauthier, Murray Welsh and Andrew Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Sheehan (O'Connor) of Atikokan and Mrs. Harry Pullin of Port Arthur visited old friends here this week. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard O'Brien were in Port Arthur on August 30, to attend the wedding of Emerson Paske and Gail Elaine Kashuba. Mrs. Victor Hannam of Ottawa is the guest of Mrs. Robert Winters, visiting also other old friends in town. Edith Clemens is visiting relatives in Toronto. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mykchuk and family of Winnipeg have been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Arthur LeBlanc. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Law have moved to Schreiber from Chapleau, Mr. Law replacing Bill Collinson on the CPR staff. ; Mrs. Alex Krystia was hostess for the farewell party for Mrs. Bill Collinson. On behalf of the group of friends attending the occasion Mrs. D.Q. Hamilton presented two oil paintings of local scenes with their good wishes. Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. John Wiznuk were assistant hostesses. Mrs. Collinson is going to Chapleau where her husband has been transferred by the CPR. Mrs. Iva D'Arcy and Miss Mildred D'Arcy have returned from visiting relations in Toronto. Mrs. Paul Huminicki has returned from Winnipeg where she visited Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Huminicki and her new granddaughter . Fred Eickmeier and Jeanne McCuaig have gone to Sioux Lookout where they will be teaching this year. Bill Scott will be on the staff of the Red Rock high school. Dennis McParland and Sandra Clemens will teach in Dryden, and John Stortini in Sault Ste. Marie. Mrs. J.B. Fournier has returned after a lengthy round of family visiting, with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fournier in Scarborough; Mr. and Mrs. Herve Fournier in Ottawa; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Scraba and Mr. and Mrs. Al Matte, in Sudbury; and also enjoyed a camping trip on kake Simcoe with Mr. and Mrs. Raoul Fournier.
