Lundberg NEW MEMBERS WELCOMED The regular monthly meeting of the Ladies Auxil= | iary to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 223, was held on Sunday night in the Legion Hall. There were 24 members present. Minutes of the last and executive meetings were read by Joyce Mercier, Secretary. Welcomed into the Auxiliary were new members Mesdames Doris Legault, Mary Clare Kennedy and Audrey Smith. Mrs. Hamre was a guest visitor from the Lokehedal Pam Jones gave the treausurers report. Dorothy Ballentine gave a full report on her attendance at Breficiency Award winners - Claudette Boudreau Gr.10 - Cathy L af : Melnyk, Gr.9 - Ruth Soughton who presented the awards - the meeting held in the Lakehead. All convenors Lorreine Belliveau Gr.11 and Susan Graham Gr.12. gave reports on their activities. It was decided 3 that thé oil painting will be raffled on Labor Day. Tickets are available from any member of the auxil- iarys Half the proceeds from the raffle thus far will be drawn on July 1. It was noted that the Friday night lunches have been so successful that it is hoped they may be carried on during the summer months . David Ramsay and Susan Scott were the recipients of the Legion Bursaries. A field Day has been plan- ned for Legion and Auxiliary members and their families on July 1. Convenors were chosen for the Annual Poppy Day Tea in November. Members will be contacted at a later date. Winner of the Pot of Gold was Marion Burns.
