Sister St. Timothy is presenting the plaque. Miss Dennison and her grade three class had an opportunity to climax a reading lesson. The reading lesson was entitled Landmarks of Canada and one of the landmarks in the story was the "Sleeping Giant" in Lake Superior. After reading their story, some months ago, they decided they wanted to: visit this landmark of Canada. They got busy and raised $150. for their trip. Then they outlined a trip to Chippewa Park, tour of the Harbour by boat, and a visit to Boulevard Lake Park. It was on their tour of the Harbour that they saw the Sleeping Giant. They left at 8 a.m.,, Saturday morning under the guidance of five teachers, Miss B. Dick, Sister Daniel Joseph, Miss M. Holmes, Miss S. McLean and Miss S. Dennison. They had a wonderful day and are very grateful to the teachers for going with them. Diane Dietrick wrote a poem while on the bus = The Trip We went on a trip On a sunny day continued ... In photo below the students are pictured preparing for the trip. TORONTO OR BUST Toronto or Bust was the theme. of a tea held at Holy Angel's School on Sunday. The grade viii pupils who are hoping to raise enough money for a' educational trip to Toronto turned out in full force to make this tea a success. These gracious hosts and hostesses were responsible for the organization and serving. Guests were also treated with a bit of entertainment.
