The Choir, with white gowns and red ties, took their places in the Choir loft, with a background of Red and White Poinsettias on the Alter, and gaily lighted Christmas trees. Mr. Lohr read the Call to Worship, and the Congregation joined in the singing of O Come All Ye Faithful. Bevin Schritt read the Scripture lesson. White Gifts were presented at the Alter, and in- cluded special envelopes for gifts of money, to be used this Christmas, for the refugees and homeless in less fortunate parts of the world, such as North and South Viet Nam. Friday, Dec. 8 was the date for fast moving and exciting basketball between the Marathon and Terrace Bay Juniors, Seniors, and teacher teams at the High School Auditorium. In the first game the fine display of teamwork by the Marathon Juniors saw them to the lead and keep it to win by a score of 23-7. The Senior teams played wome very good basketball. Terrace Bay lost their effectivness in the third quarter and Marathon pulled ahead with.a score of 22-16. Inspired by their coaches' words of en- couragement, Terrace Bay put fortha burst of energy and the dying seconds of the fourth quarter saw Bob Broadhurst fouled and sink 2 awarded shots to tie the game 25-25 (Cont'd on page 4)
