GUIDES LEARN OF DUTCH "PATHFINDERS" The last regular meeting of the Ist Terrace Bay Company turned out to be more af a fun night than the usual hard working session. It was the evening for preparing for the Guide and Brownie Banquet to be held next week. The girls practised their skits and songs while their guests joined in enthusiastically. Elaine Lang, Brown Owl of the 2nd Terrace Bay Pack visited each patrol with advice and helpful comments .e There was great enthusiasm when it was announced that Miss Lang would soon be transferring to the Guides in order to become a Blue Leader. Special guest of the evening was Mrs. Willemien Prinselaar of Schreiber who spoke of her wide exper- ience with the Dutch Pathfinders-- the Girl Guides of Holland. Mrs.Prinselaar had written the Law and two songs in Dutch so that the girls could sing with her. Also invited was Mrs.Loes Kuran of Terrace Bay who accompanied Mrs. Prinselaar in singing the 'Dutch Songs. The Guides and their leaders ended the Campfire singing Taps in the native tongue of their guests. At the same meeting Beverly Legault received her Child Care Badge from =e Caron. The farewell party was to say goodbye to Louis who, with his family, will soon be leavingfor Por- tage du Fort, Quebec. On behalf of all the woodhandlers on the shift John Delaronde presented Louis with a wallet and money and goodwishes for the future from his many friends .
