Page 12 SCHREIBER NEWS The new library board, appointed by municipal council, was announced at the regular meeting of the board on March 4: H.M.Ermel, Miss Gwen Hadley, Mrs. W.W.Wilkes, Mrs. D'Arcy McGuire, and Mrs. Lester McCuaig. The board will appoint a subsidiary committee as advisory members. Following a vote of appreciation for their years' service in offices of chairman and secretary treasurer Mr.Ermel and Miss Hadley were elected again to fill this position. A new Centennial banner was accepted to be placed in the library. Miss Hadley reported 135 books (new) have been moving rapidly. Mrs. A.Hill was appointed librarian at the same salary as last year. The former bulletin board was donated to the Girl Guides. One thousand book pockets were ordered with library rules imprinted on them. Envelopes to set up a vertical filing system were also ordered. An index table was selected and chairs to be used with it and TERRACE _BAY_NEWS March 9, 1967 The index table will be of advantage to students dging research. The first Saturday of the month was set as regular meeting day. An interesting letter with a compliment to the libr- ary on its selection of books, was received froma man in Chibougami, Quebec. J.T.Flanagan stated he had, while mining in the area thirteen years ago, become a member of the library and particularly en- joyed the non-fiction collection and he would apprec iate knowing the author of a book from Russia which he had read. Membership in the Canadian Centennial Library was taken. David Nesbitt has entered Winnipeg General Hosp- ital for surgery .
