We would like to say thanks to all those who generously responded to our appeal for voluntary help in pouring the cement floor in the Schreiber Arena. It was wonderful the way you turned out and stayed until the job was completed, in the early hours of the morning. We would like to give special thanks to the ladies of the Artificial Ice Committee who faith- fully served coffee and lunch all day. Additionally, thanks are in order to Golf Birch, Reg. TERRACE BAY NEWS BAZAAR PLANNED FOR NOVEMBER 30 ' Page |7 Mrs.Nora McGuire presided for the regular meet- ing of the Catholic Women's League on Nov.13 with 24 present. Father Cano spoke on The Rewards of Heaven following which a question and answer period was held. Mrs.Edna Cocks, spiritual : convenor, read an article on The World Union of Women's Organizations, whoe theme for study is the freedom of women in the modern world. Mrs. Gloria Mullins,social action convenor, reported three boxes of clothing was sent to the needy. Mrs. Jackie Tremblay, for Guides and Brownies, reported | Marilyn Cook now is a Company Leader and has officially received the Senior Religion and Life Emblem. Mrs.Loretto Cataford asked for continued -- saving and turning in of all Canada Packers labels. The Christmas Tea & Bazaar is planned for Nov.30 in-the Guild Hall from 3 to 5 p.m. Fancy aprons, baking and candy; religious cards & articles, fine sewing will be featured. There will be raffles on white & dark Christmas cakes, 16" walking doll and wardrobe. There will be a door prize. Members are asked to turn in Bazaar articles by Nov.23 to Mesdames Pat Cook, Bart Kusik, Penny Caccamo & Val Bourke. Following the meeting, Mrs.Flemirig showed slides taken during a tour of Europe. Lunch was served by Mrs. Kay Stefurak and her committee. STORK CLUB Born to Mr.and Mrs.A.Speziale of Schreiber, a daughter, on November 9th.
