RE: SNOW REMOVAL - TOWNSHIP ROADS CURLING - Everything seems to be in readiness for the curling season except ice. However, there appears to be steps in the right direction and even great hopes that sheets will be ready for this Saturday night. In any event, be it curling or shuffle board, a big social, first of the year, is scheduled for Saturday, November 19. Enter your name with Rocky Gavin or sign the entry form on the bulletin boards of either the Mill or curling lounge. Teams will be drawn from a hat and each entrant will be charged 50¢ for prizes. Games to start at 7 p.m. If you are not curling join the arm-chait group for the lively evening. Other events coming up are the regular curling schedule and the Turkey Bonspiel Dec. 2, 3, 4. Time is running short for those curlers who have not as yet sent in their entry forms to the membership committee of B. Sec. #9 "Notwithstanding the other pro- visions of this section, no person shall park or leave standing any vehicle whether attended or unattended on a highway in such a manner as to interfere with the movement of other traffic or the clearing of snow from the highway." Sub . Sec. #I| "A constable or an officer appointed for the carrying out of the provisions of this Act, upon discovery of any vehicle parked or left in contravention of subsection 9 or of a municipal by- law, may cause it to be moved or taken to and placed or stored in a suitable place and all costs and charges for removing, care and storage thereof, if ;any, are a lien upon the vehicle, which may be enforced in the manner provided by section 48 of The Mechanics' Lien Act, R.S.0. 1950." Persons are reminded that Kimberly-Clark Pulp and Paper Company snow removal equipment will be in operation during snow storms between the hours of 12.60 midnight to 8.00 a.m. Vehicles left on Township streets after |.00 a.m. during such opera- tions will be subject to the above Highway Traffic Act regulations.
