This represents the amount needed to be found by the Bible Societies to cover the cost of the work in non-self-sup- porting areas of the world. Deficit is a necessary concom- itant of the Bible Societies' pol- icies: almost all editions are sub- sidized; the Bible Societies spon- sor or are' related to current Scripture translation or revision The Women of the Moose met in the Moose Home Nov.2nd when Graduate Regent Marge _Dejonghe received word that she is now en- titled to wear a Green Cap. "The Bible Societies are faced with opportunities for spreading the Word of God which they can- not meet for lack of funds. PORTRAITS OF THE PAST HERE DECEMBER 2 This program, which is the Centennial project of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Community Church, is slated for Friday, December 2nd. Tickets will go on sale very shortly. Not entirely a fashion show, the program will illustrate scenes and incidents from Canadian history, dressed as they were when they happened. This should prove interesting and helpful to all students as. well as to their mothers. LOCAL GUIDES ATTEND LEADERS' COURSE Linda Fontaine, Marlyn MacDonald and Paulette Du- quette, with five seconders, Wendy MacMillan, Karen Hiebert, Beverly Legault, Lesly Cotton and» Denise Rochon attended the Patrol Leaders' Course at Manitouwadge. They were under the supervision of Elaine Long, Brown Owl of the 2nd Pack. The course was organized by Mrs.S.Baxter, Area Camping Chairman and was attended by Guides from Terrace Bay, Marathon and Manitouwadge.
