Mrs .Tracy Spence has returned home from Port Arthur General Hospital . Mrs .Geo .Brady and guests are holidaying at Battle Island Lighthouse. Ronald Lanigan has returned from a two week vaca tion with relatives in Ottawa. Mrs .Tom Yandon and children accompanied by Mrs .Betty Yandon were Port Arthur visitors this week Mrs .P.Sully is visiting relatives in Port Arthur. Messrs.Lorne Molinski and Eddie Page were in Port Arthur on business Thursday . Mr .and Mrs.J.kangtree and sons of Fort William have taken up residence here. Herbert Lif is a patient in Terrace Bay Hospital . Mrs .D.E.Mattson of Winchester, Ont., has ar- rived to teach school here with a pupil enrolment of twenty-seven. Lionel Hubelit and his fiancee Olga Mae Holinaty of Wawa spent the weekend with the former's parents Mr.and Mrs.Mac Hubelit. They were accompanied by Mr.and Mrs. Albert Sabados and Allan. Mr.and Mrs.J.C .Todesco and family left Tuesday for their home in Sarnia after holidaying at the former's parental home. Mr.and Mrs .Beryl Ray returned Wednesday from a holiday at the Pacific Coast. Clemens Downey has left to take up teaching duties at Sault Ste. Marie. Mr.and Mrs.John Anderson and family of Chapleau renewed acquaintances here enroute to Kenora. Mr. Anderson was Chief Forestry Ranger here fifteen years ago. Pte .Barry Hunt has arrived to visit his father, Douglas Hunt. Adolph King, former commercial fisherman here, visited friends enroute to Slate Islands and Coldwell on a prospecting trip. Mr.King is a 'chip off the old block' as his fath er, the late Peter King, was a well known Thunder Bay district prospector. He was known as the Gold King as he made and lost several fortunes in his life time. s George Watt of London, Ont ario is visiting his sister, Mrs.Felix Legault. Dr.Miller's distinguished career is a continuing source of pride to Schreiber where he spent his boyhood and where he graduated from high school . Adding color to this commencement will be gowns and hoods worn by the staff for the first time in the processional . Grade 13 diplomas will be presented to thirteen students and there will also be a large number of academic and other scholarship awards presented. Mr .and Mrs .Chal .McCuaig of Atikokan spent the weekend with Mr.and Mrs.Lester McCuaig. Pupils of Our Lady's Convent school of music are asked to enroll as soon as possible, by interview in Schreiber and by telephone from Terrace Bay. A Shower-Tea will be held on Sept .12 from 8-10 in Mrs.Rene Beddard's home, in honor of Miss Aud- rey Bryar.
