A reception for one hundred was held immediate- ly after the wedding at the Downtowner Motor Inn, Madison. The groom's parents gave a rehearsal dinner on June 7th at the Simon House, Madison. Following a honeymoon at Nantucket, Mass., the couple will reside in Bainbridge, Maryland where the groom will attend U.S.Naval Nuclear Power School . The couple just graduated from the University of Wisconsin on June 6, she in Meterology and he in Physics. GOSPEL MISSION Sunday School at 2 P.M, every Sunday TOWN TOPICS WEDDING HELD IN MADISON, WISCONSIN A wedding of local interest took place in Bethel Lutheran Church, Madison, Wisconsin when Mar- garet Ann, daughter of Mr.and Mrs .Robert G. Shirriff of Childersburg, Alabama, formerly of Terrace Bay, and Leland Herbert, son of Major and Mrs.Herbert Price of Rantoul, Illinois, were joined in holy matrimony. The ceremony took place at 3 p.m., on June 8, 1966. The bride wore a floor length sheath gown of silk linen with an empire bodice and a Watteau train, trimmed with appliques of Venise lace. An open pillbox of Venise lace held her shoulder- length silk illusion veil and she carried a cascade of white glamellias. Maid of Honor was Miss Kathi Anken of Madison, sorority sister of the bride and the bridesmaid was Miss Barbara Hartwig of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The attendants were dressed alike in sheath gowns of yellow linen and crepe with empire bodices trimmed with gold velvet and matching linen Car- dinal coats. They carried cascades of yellow sweetheart roses and wore gold velvet bow head- pieces. The Best Man was Norman Price of Denver, Colo- rado and Groomsman was Vern Martin of Stoughton, § Kiwanis proficiency award winners in grade 8 for th past two months are:- Public School Jamie Cumming April & Janice Beddard, May. St.Martin's School, Lorraine Belliveau, April & Jane Persson, May.
