The ladies are planning another mixed tour- nament for Tuesday, June 14 in the hopes that the men will again sign up gallantly. In the event of inclement weather the tournae ment will be postponed until Thursday even- ing. The entry fee is 25¢ per person and each golfer is asked to hand in score cards beforehand (preferably five), so that handi- caps may be established. The sum of $762.34 was realized from the recent campaign conducted by the Terrace Bay unit of the Canadian Cancer Society. A $600 donation was received from the Kimberly-Clark Employees Benefit Fund - the sale of In Memo- riam cards and receipts from individual dona- tions received during the recent campaign and canvas, brought the total to $762.34. Mrs. P.Rapke was campaign chairman, BROWNIE ENROLMENT Monday, May 30th was an important day for the third Terrace Bay Brownie Pack, Eight Tweenies who came to the Pack some eight weeks before were enrolled as Brownies. Led into the ring by their Sixer, the Tweenies saw themselves in the wishing well and were brought then to Brown Owl beside the toad- stool where they each recited the Brownie Law, Motto and Promise before receiving their Brownie pins and six insignia. Those enrolled were, Carol and Holly Brown, Sheena Caldwell, j Diane Coupal, Debbie Johnson, Lori Schritt, Carole Whiteley and Elizabeth Woods. At the same meeting four Brownies received their Golden Bars, These Were Betty Oss, Joanne Bergeron, Lorraine Bobush and Lorraine Levigne ° The highest Brownie award, the Golden Hand, was presented to Frances Cook, Suzanne Gaudet and Susan Pluta. Mary-Pat Santerre received the first Golden Ladder' to be awarded in the Pack by Brown Owl Mrs.V.Thompson and Tawny Owl.
