GUIDE-BROWNIE ASSOCIATION MEETS The monthly meeting was held on Monday, Mar. 28th in the Community Church Hall with Mrs.J. Lang in the chair. Minutes and correspondence were read by Mrs.K.Turner and Mrs.A.Farrow pre- sented the Treasurer's report. A motion was passed that seven new Guider uni- forms and belts be purchased. It was suggested that Guiders who receive new uniforms should elect to remain as Guiders for at least two years, unless un- able for reasons of health, so that the uniform con- venors would not have to alter uniforms so often. Following a request from several mothers it was agreed that all Brownies who reach age ten must proceed to Guides at the next Fly-up ceremony. Mrs.J.Falzetta stated that there would be one area and two pioneer. camps this summer. There is a desparate need for a complete staff for the pioneer camps. Mrs.Lang thanked social convenor Mrs.W.Kurylo for the successful Brownie Banquet held on March 26th. Mrs.Kurylo announced that plans for the Guide banquet to be held April 23 were under way. Mrs .P.Jones has offered to help the Guides with a Centennial project. During the meeting Mrs.Mikus gave a training session for all Brownie Guiders present. At the close of the meeting a delicious lunch was served by Mrs.A.Farrow. - The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 25th. MILLINERY COURSE - REGISTRATIONS SLOW This course will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, April |, 2 and 3, starting at 7.30 p.m. on April Ist, and is open to all ladies in the area who are desirous of taking the course. Registration fee is $4.00 and the course content will be basic techniques, using various media. Trims and finishes will be emphasized. The course will also include choosing the proper frames and fabrics, treatment of colour and design and sources of supply. The instructress will be Mrs.Muriel Lozowy of Fort Wil- liam, who is familiar to us through Qs appearance ")
