Council refused to consider his request for an 8 to 10 A.M. showing bu will put his request for a 2 to 6 P.M. and 8 to 10 P.M. showing before the people in a plebiscite. A letter from the Auditors notified Council they could not contribute to the Municipal Employees Benefit Plan a greater sum than contributed by the employee, or not more thantfifty-percent. Hofland's resignation as Fire Chief was accepted by Council with regret, as they expressed appreciation for the interest he had shown in the community in his five years here. NATIONAL EASSAY CONTEST Fourth place award in a National Essay Contest conducted by the A.B.C.'s of Industry has been received by Lorraine Belliveau. The prize was a cheque. CSB/65 CAMPAIGN REPORT Canada Savings Bonds continue to be a popular method of saving for Kimberly-Clark employees. This year's campaign resulted in total sales of $121,650 - $10,500 more than last year and the third highest on record. Percentage participation too is up, with more than 57% of the Company employees taking advantage of this convenient way to save.
