Two members of Alcoholics Anonymous. accompan- ied Mr.Bennett on his visit to Terrace Bay and after a brief resume of their own personal problems which led to joining the A.A.'s and their sub sequent re- covery, both gentlemen joined the small discussion groups which formed and very freely answered all questions thrown at them on the cause of alcoholism and attitudes and approach in helping the sufferer. Also invited and joining in the general discussion groups were Drs.M.McCausland, R.Uzicanin, Very Rev.Dean E.A.Gallagher, Rev.Father Cano, Rev. R .Inshaw and Rev.D.F .Muldrew. Association president, Mrs.Betty Cruickshank thanked Mr .Bennett on behalf of the nurses and luncheon was served as the evening concluded. C.BENNETT ADDRESSES NURSES Mr. Cliff Bennett, Community Consultant for Al- cohol and Drug Addiction Research Foundation, Lakehead Branch, was the guest speaker Thursday evening when the Terrace Bay Nurses Association held their regular meeting in St.Martin's Church Hall. Mr .Bennett's introductory remarks described the research foundation which was started in 1948-49 and their three-fold research program. It is their ardent hope to get a Rehabilitation Centre estab- lished, or half-way house as it is better known.
