Several Ontario Hydro Area personnel will be at- tending the meeting with Mr.Clifton. Mr.and Mrs.Henry Duriez visited with Henry's mother and family at Paradise Hill, Sask. Mrs .Raymond Salesse is recovering after surgery at Port Arthur General Hospital . Mr.and Mrs.Hector Brideau, Kapuskasing, were the guests of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr.and Mrs .E.Salesse. Mrs .Rose Garriock is a patient in St.Joseph's Hospital, Port Arthur. Mrs. Jean Plummer is home from Port Arthur Gen- eral Hospital and recuperating after surgery . Mr.and Mrs.Raymond Gaulin of Red Rock were recent visitors at the home of his brother and sister- in-law, Mr.and Mrs..Francis Gaulin. -Members of the Terrace Bay Volunteer Firemen are again distributing canisters to collect for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Firemen across Canada have adopted this organization for their charitable work and ask that everyone drop their loose change in these canisters. VERL THOMPSON NAMED TO EXECUTIVE OF THE NATIONAL SAFETY COUNCIL At the Safety Congress held last week in Chicago, Verl Thompson, Safety Co-ordinator, was reappointed to serve a second term as a member of the Executive Committee of the Pulp and Paper Section of the National Safety Council. As a member of this Committee he has been assigned to the Special Pro- jects Group to assist in the development of a Safety Training Program to be conducted within the Pulp and "Paper Industry. HIGH SCHOOL NEWS Report Cards - by Jane Kelty Well, report cards are out! The unspectacular opening sentence you just read was used in despera- tion, after several minutes spent in racking the tiny muscle beneath my skull for something just a bit more original. Perhaps it is that my brains, (or what there are of them) are worn out from constant studying--I think not.
