Mr. Dawson gave an informative talk on the effect of these changes on the Childrens' Aid Society. It was agreed the committee would continue to meet on the first Monday of each month. The closing prayer was led by Rev. F.A. Muldrew. The hostess, Mrs. Litt, served a delicious luncheon at the close of the meeting. CHILDRENS' AID MEETS (Continued from Page 1) this meeting which opened with prayer led by Very Rev. Dean Gallagher. Mr. Alex Power presided and Mrs.Norah McGuire gave the minutes and treasurer's report. Committee members who collect, Mrs. McGuire in Schreiber and Mrs. Marge Anderson in Terrace Bay, reported on the clothing and household articles gathered and sent to needy families. They stressed the constant need for boys clothing. Mr. Litt gave a very interesting report on his work in this district which includes Manitouwadge, Mara- thon west to Schreiber. Since taking over from Mrs. Muriel Casson, Mr. Litt remarked on his appreciation for the interest shown by Public officials and other individuals in this territory. Anyone wishing to con- tact Mr. Litt were advised his post office box number is 352. A discussion took place on the office in Marathon. It was the unanimous decision of the committee that this office space should be relinquished, at this time. It was decided to send a letter to both Schreiber and Terrace Bay Municipal Councils requesting them to Annual Field Day Monday, September 6 th. Schreiber Ball Park SOCIAL NEWS (Continued from Page 4) Mr. Tom Reed, all of Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. Mrs. J.R. Marsh and daughter Jody are spending the next two weeks in Terrace Bay at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Phillips. Mr. and Mrs. Frank March visited with Mr. and Mrs H.N. Marsh while enroute to the West Coast. Word has been received from the North Bay Figure Skating Club that Linda Hayes has passed her Silver Free and Europeon Fox Trot during tests held there this summer. Due to Labour Day weekend, the Ladies Auxiliary will hold their September meeting on Wednesday ever evening, the 8th, at 8:15 p.m. in the Terrace Bay Community Church. Mrs. Betty Turner has planned a program on the Maritimes. All ladies are cordially invited.
