SECOND ANNUAL BAND - A - RAMA HELD HERE Some five hundred exuberant youths applauded the six district Bands who competed all day Saturday in Terrace Bay's Second Annual Band-a-rama. Commen cing at one p.m. each Band was allotted an hour in the afternoon and an hour in the evening, during which they were adjudicated at intervals by the five judges, Dick Wilson of C.K.P.R.'S Dick Wilson DJ Show, Cosma Filane, the rising young vocalist and locally, Bonnie McKay, Bill Megraw and Frank Sechesky . As ME of the program, Dick Wilson gave the final decision of the judges as musicians, singers and fans waited with baited breath. The Ramblers of Maratho' Charles Wesley Jr., Ron Pronych, Michael McNeil, Richard Lombers and managed by Charles Wesley Sr., were given top prize of Two Hundred Dollars. Other awards for best instrumental solo went to King James and his Axe Men - a Terrace Bay group, and best vocal solo was also awarded to the Ramblers. Mrs. Sheets accompanied her husband on his visit to the Terrace Bay Lodge. A social evening for members and guests followed the installation.
