Mr.and Mrs.W.G.Furlonger visited their son Laurie and his family in Winnipeg, returning grandson Craig who has been holidaying here with them and with his aunt and uncle, Mr.and Mrs.Del Weberg in Terrace Bay. § Mrs.Pat Leisander and daughter Devona of Fort W lliam have been ghe guests of Mrs.Harry Duggan. Mr.and Mrs.Leo Bryar left Saturday for Marathon where Mr .Bryar will be employed in the mill. Miss Catherine O'Brien is spending her vacation visiting in Sudbury, Markstay and Pembroke . Robertal Milani is home after a visit with her grand mother, Mrs.Johanna Hogan, in Fort William. Sharon O'Brien returned home last week after holi- daying in Markstay with her sister Mrs .D'Arcy Mc- Donald. Lenore and Mary Lynn O'Brien will return next week. Mr.and Mrs.Bruce Myers and daughter Mrs .Frank Watkins of Clio, Michigan, are the guests of Mr.and Mrs.Norman McCuaig. SOCIAL NEWS" - Terrace Bay -(CONTINUED) 1 Mark Boudreau is presently attending the Ontario Athelic Leadership Course at Lake Couchicing, Ont. and Jill Crandlemire was the Terrace Bay High School candidate who attended in July. Ronald Falzetta is back from a ten day visit at Rocky Mountain House, north of Red Deer, Alberta. Ronald was chosen for his standing among the Grade eleven boys of Terrace Bay High School to attend this Youth Exchange sponsored by the Department of Education and the Centennial Youth Exchange program. Guests at the home of Virginia and Gary Galvin last week were his sister and brother-in-law, Emma and Bob McLean and children of Fort Frances, Ont. A wedding of interest to Terrace Bay took place Saturday morning, August 28th, when Miss Denise Roy became the bride of Mr. Johan Terpstra in St. Anthonys Parish, Port Arthur. Both were on the Staff of the Terrace Bay High School last term. Mr. Joe Marcella gave the bride in marriage, Mr. Hugh Boudreau was best man, and Mr. John Bird was soloist while Mr. Brian Hubelit was the organist. Accompanying Mr. Marcella was his wife, while Mrs. Boudreau and daughter Claudette also attended, and Liz O'Javee and Allan Trudeau of Terrace Bay. Carol Goswell returned home to Ottawa last Wed- nesday accompanied by her cousin, Ruth Soughton, Carol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.G. Goswell were weekend visitors with the Fred Soughtons and over the past weekend Dr. and Mrs. Jack Newell and family of Calgary were guests. Phy! and Tommy Turner with Alan, Phyllis and Sally arrived home Wednesday from a three week motor vacation travelling through the New England States across the Bay of Fundy to visit with their son Lorne, at H.M.C.S. Cornwallis, then on to relatives Hat Bedford, N.S. a tour of Prince Edward Island and home via the Trans-Canada. THE NEWS September 2, 1965 Mr.and Mrs .Bill Tripp and sons are visiting in the Sharbot Lake area near Perth, Ont. Mr .and Mrs.G. Hamilton of Chapleau have taken up residence in Schreiber. Mr.Hamilton is employed in the Terrace Bay Mill. Mr.and Mrs .Ralph Morrill and family are visiting relations in Orillia, Pickering and Toronto. Mr.and Mrs.Gordon McParland have moved from Galena Street to the former E.J.Morrill home on Erie Street. Mr .Eugene Ouelette has taken Lise and Paul to Montreal for a holiday. Mr.and Mrs .Clarence (Casey) McBride have re- turned to White River after spending the summer at Walker Lake. Mr.and Mrs.Innes West attended the wedding of the latter's niece Janice Webb to Edward McGregor in Fort William on Saturday. Dr .Searles and his family will occupy the former Bourguignon residence on Park Street. Mr.and Mrs.Neil Bottomley drove to Sudbury to visit the latter's parents and bring home their daughters, Cathy and Gail, who have been visiting there. Miss Joanne M. cris has returned from Windsor where she visited her brother Ron and his family. Mr .and Mrs .Dick Remillard and family of the Sault visited Mr.and Mrs.Oscar Laine last week. Mrs .Ernest Willoughby is visiting her son Dale and family in Fort William and will visit her daugh- ter Donna (Mrs.HalMarkell) and family in Ottawa. Mrs .Bob Wood, Carl and Bonnie, of Port Arthur, spent last week with Mr.and Mrs .Bruce Lidkea. Mr.and Mrs .Ray Cote are spending their holidays in Ottawa. Mr.and Mrs.J.M.McGrath and family spent their holidays in Eganville with relations. Miss Geraldine Duggan and Miss Maureen Cornell of Fort William spent the weekend here. Bruc;e Costall has returned from Duncan, B.C. where he spent the summer working in the mill lab. Henry Paske was in Port Arthur to attend the joint twenty-fifth wedding anniversaries of Mr .and Mrs .Sulo Koski (His sister Beryl) and Mr.and Mrs. Colson (Buck) Paske.
