LEGION FIELD DAY SUCCESSFUL An enthusiastic crowd attended the Legion Field day to watch the children's costume parade, led by majorette Jo-Anne Carlisle of Port Arthur . Costume judges were Mrs.Russell Macadam, Mrs. Lester McCuaig and Mrs.Scott Davidson of Clarkson, Ontario. Prizes were awarded for best decorated doll's carriage to, Ist.Valerie Rigelsford and 2nd, Maxine Holland. For the best decorated bicycle to | Ailene Ross and Bruce Hiller: for the best decorated trike to Kim Keating and Cheryl Johnson: best fancy costume to Cathy Cocks, Cora and Tana Morrow and Alma Cenerelli and Laurie Cenerelli: best Original, Ist to Claire, Nicolle and Susanne St. Pierre and 2nd. to Al O'Driscoll and Michael Spil- lane: best comic to, Ist-Lynne Jolicoeur and Carol Dimmery and 2nd to Kevin Cocks and Mark Morrow . KINSMEN ELECT NEW OFFICERS Peter Speziale has been elected president of the local Kinsmen. He has a background of nine years memb ership, being vice-president, bulletin editor, and director during this time. Other officers for the year are Ralph Hewson, vice-president, Fraser Muldrew, secretary, Raymond Guillet, treasurer, Antonio Speziale, past president Jim McCuaig, Jim Figliomeni and Bill Miller, direc tors. The club, formed in 1945, has been active in com munity work, having donated the first ambulance to the town, and is presently directing its efforts to the fund for installing artificial ice in the Arena. CONSTABLE JIM EINARSON LEAVING TOWN Constable Jim Einarson, OPP, who came to Schreiber on Nov.|, 1956, is leaving the police force to open his own business in Fort William. Jim, his wife Joyce and their family, will be missed in Schreiber were they have made many friends and lent a helping hand in community activities. Mrs.N.J.Jolicoeur and Mrs.Joe Cebrario were co-hostesses for a farewell party honoring Mrs. Einarson on Friday evening.
