CRANDLEMIRE-RICE NUPTIALS Before an altar adorned with pink Gladiolus, Myrna Anne Crandlemire, oldest daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Lester Crandlemire of Terrace Bay was united in marriage to Mr.Douglas James Rice Son of Mrs.Martha Rice of Bridgeport, Ontario on June 26th at 5.30 P.M., in the Community Church. Rev.T. Garnett Husser performed the ceremony and Mrs. Ellen Hodgkiss presided at the organ. Edward Riley of White River was Best Man and ushers were the bride's broth er, Gary Crandlemire, and Larry Mealey. Given in marriage by her father the Bride was radiant in a formal Peau de Soie gown. Venice lace applique enhanced the slim skirt which had a watteau train gathered to a large bow. The fitted bodice had a Sibrina neck- line and lily pointed sleeves. Her short silk illusion pouffe veil was held by a crown of roses with petals and she carried a mauve orchid on a white prayer book. The bride's sister, Miss Jill Crandlemire, was Maid of Honor and the Misses Carol Rice, Gister of the groom) and Brenda Gillies were bridesmaids. They wore identical ballerina dresses of sea green silk nylon over taffeta. The A-line skirts had Empire waistlines, cap sleeves and Sabrina necklines. Back panniers had tiny bows at the waist. Their headdres- ses were floral motif with seed pearls and tulle vgil- ing to match their dresses. They carried bouquets of Shasta Mums. A wedding dinner was held in the dining room of Terrace Bay Motor Hotel and during an evening re- ception the Bride and Groom's Born to, Mr.and Mrs. W.Zaloski of Terrace Bay, a daughter, on July Sth. Mr.W.Dorning is visiting at the home of his daugh- ter and her family, Mr.and Mrs.Ed. Kennedy.
