A Toast to Bride was proposed by Mr.Llewelyn Edmunds and the guest book was circulated by Miss Holly Rice. Servitors were the Misses Kathy Phillips, Nadine MacLeod, Mary Pat MacLeod and Karen Edmunds . Leaving for a honeymoon trip to Banff, Alberta the bride wore a pink Italian knit suit. On their re- turn the couple will reside in Kenora, Ontario. Prior to her marriage the bride was entertained at showers given by Mrs.Llewelyn Edmunds and Mrs. Ken Kitchen, Mrs.Mary Woodside of White River and by her pupils and parents at the White River Public School . Out of town guests included Mrs.Martha Rice, Miss Carol Rice, Mr.and Mrs.Lloyd Rice and daugh- ter Holly, Mr.Ronald Rice and friends from Pembroke, Kagawang, Barrie, Sudbury, Manitouwadge, White River, Port Arthur, Fort William and Schreiber. Mrs. J.Waddington and daughter Janet, of Levack, Ontario, are spending a couple of weeks with Mrs. Waddington's pa rents, Mr.and Mrs.John Ferrier. Also spending her vacation with her parents is Miss Elizabeth Ferrier, nurse-in-training at Toronto West- ern Hospital . Mr. G.M.Priske of Bourlamaque, Quebec was a holiday weekend visitor at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr.and Mrs. Ross Mitch ell. Last weekend a talented local artist, Mrs.Sadie Gaulin presented a showing of her painting at the Voyageur Restaurant. On display and for sale were four large oils showing the river in the four seasons of the year, eight smaller paintings depicting pulp- wood operations and scenes of pleasure boating. Five abstracts in mixed media were on display also two district scenes in oil and eigh t large monotypes. CAUTION URGED (Continued from page |) 3. All the guests of Mr.and Mrs.Ivan Martin. eo COMMUNITY CHURCH SCENE OF WEDDING On Saturday, June 26th at 4P.M., Ainsley Darya Middaugh, only daughter of Mr.and Mrs. R.F .Middaugh, Terrace Bay, became the bride of Mr .Gordon Edward Brinkman, son of Mr.and Mrs. H.E.Brinkman of Kenora, Ontario. The ceremony was performed in the Terrace Bay Community Church by Rev.T.Garnett Husser before an altar decorated with pink and white snapdragons. Mr. Brian Hubelit played the organ and accompanied Miss Joanne Brown who sang the Lord's Prayer and Because. Given in marriage by her father, the bride looked lovely in an original gown of Chantilly Lace over peau-de-soie. Back fullness in the skirt was ac- cented by a three-tier train. The fitted bodice had a jewel neckline and long sleeves. A crown of seed pearls held her waist length three-tier nylon tulle veil and she carried a bouquet of dark red roses and lily-of-the-valley. Best man was the groom's uncle, Mr.Gordon ~ Brinkman of Kenora and ushering the guests to flower decked pews were Lloyd Phillips and Allan Trudeau. The bridal attendants were, the bride's cousin, Miss Darya Fedorchuk of Fort William as maid-of honor and Miss Bonnie Hamilton as Bridesmaid. Little Miss Donna Tees was flower girl, dressed in a white terylene batiste dress with scoop neck and three-quarter length sleeves. She carried a basket of pink and white carnations and wore a headdress the same as the senior attendants only in white. The senior attendants wore identical gowns of royal blue peau-de-soie satin with scoop necklines, three-quarter length sleeves and softly pleated skirts. Their headdresses were face veils gathered to satin petals matching their gowns and they car- ried bouquets of pink and white carnations.
