Shaver, RCN was observed Monday by: many friends and relatives of the cadets and offi- cers as they assembled in the Terrace Bay Arena. Assistiig Commander Shaver was S/Lieut., P. Levy. Inspect- ing officers were welcomed aboard by commanding officer Lieut., J. Cumming. A detailed inspection of the ship's company and march past preceded the presentation of annual awards. A new trophy donated by officers of Admiral Cradock and Vindictive corps was awarded for the first time to A/PO Bob McMillan as the best all-round cadet. Schreiber Division was awarded the best division shield. Commander Shaver said the corps is a credit to the Navy League and Terrace Bay. All ten member mills in the Ontario Northwest were repre- sented at the annual meeting of Northwestern Ontario Branch (Mills), Ontario Pulp and Pa- per Makers' Safety Association.
