The monthly meeting of the Catholic Women's League was held Sunday evening, June 15 in St.Martin's Church Hall preceded by the reci- tation of the Rosary, Chaired by the Presi- dent, Mrs. M.Nicol, the meeting opened with the League prayer by Very Rev.Dean E,A. Gallagher. Minutes of the last meeting and correspon- dence were read by Mrs.A.Regis. Mrs. L. Legault gave the Treasurer's report. Stand- ing committees gave brief monthly reports. Being Membership Month, a social hour fol- lowed with the members enjoying a nice game of Bingo. Mrs. R.Sinotte won the door prize. For this special Tea the tables were laid with the head table adorned with a centre piece of red roses. A delicious luncheon was served by Mrs. A.Ziegleman and her committee. Mr.Alvin Sweet of Essex, Ontario is visiting with his son Frank Sweet and family this week. Mr.and Mrs.Everett Tesky of Essex and their daughter Elaine of London, Ontario are visiting with their daughter-in-law and son, Sharon and Alan Teskey. Mr.and Mrs. R.T.Reeves of York, England are visiting their daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Francis Helmink for six months. Prior to leaving Mike was entertained at a Stag by friends and co-workers when he was presented with a purse. Joyce was also the guest of honor at a Stagette at the home of Joyce Rousseau with Barb Dejonghe as co-hostess. A wallet, purse and scrapbook of her life in Terrace Bay were presented on this occasion with all good wishes. A Beach Party was held for Michele by sev- eral of her neighboring girl friends as they said their farewells. Miss Susan McCausland, R.N., is home from Toronto to spend the summer with her parents, Dr.and Mrs.M.McCausland. She was accompanied home by Miss M.Sutherland, also of Toronto. Janice Gross and Holly Berndtsson have com- pleted their first year at Lakehead Teachers? College and are home for the summer with their respective parents, Mr.and Mrs.John Gross and Mr.and Mrs.Axel Berndtsson. Mr.and Mrs.A.Mendelin of Port Arthur visit- ed last week with their daughter and son-in- law, Arelene and Marvin Osmar, Errol Morres is home from Scollard Hal] in North Bay to spend the summer with his parents Mr.and Mrs.Lloyd Morres. Ingo Schmiedschen arrived home this weekend from Toronto and will spend the summer with his parents, Mr.and Mrs. Heinz Schmeidschen. Lila Petrus arrived from Toronto to spend the past week with her parents, Mr.and Mrs.L. Petrus. Mr.and Mrs.Bart Almos of Port Arthur were weekend visitors with their daughter-in-law and son, Helen and Don Almos. .
