The first solo part during the program was *Misty Morning' with Jim Mikus on his trumpet. Jim is a boy trained by the Band in the few years of its existence, and the popularity of his number was a credit to both the boy and the Band. The versatility of the Band was evident in two popular dance numbers 'I Don't See Me In Your Eyes Any Moret and 'Go Twistt, then another solo number, this time the big voice of the Baritone Sax as Don Stewart played 'Rum Ditty Rum' with some prompting from the Bandsmen,.
