Mrs. Verna Vezina with children Dennis, Leonard, Glen and Lucy left Saturday to fly from the Lakehea to the west coast where she will join her husband Lorne and make their home in Port Alberni, Vancou- ver Island. A Farewell party was held for Verna by Evelyn Falzetta and Lois Shubaly at the home of the latter last Monday. The many friends who attended presented her with a gift of luggage and purse. Mrs. Vezina, formerly on the staff of St. Martin's Separat School, was also presented with a gift form the pupil in her Church Choir. The Afternoon Group of the Ladies Auxiliary will meet on Monday, April 19th, at 1:45 in the Terrace Bay Community Church. Mrs. Helen Brooks will show films on her journey to and stay in California last year. Ladies are requested to bring in Canada Packer labels for sorting at this meeting. A surprise party was held for Patsy Thorpe last Thursday after school on the occasion of her eleventh birthday . The students participating in the folk dances had been trained by Bonnie Hamilton, one of the students and Mr.. Ferguson. A very colorful addition was the appearance of brothers David and Bill Shivas in swirling kilts to give a Bagpipe selection, then to a sombre note as Lita Marie Boudreau, Deborah Stewart and Carole Gaudet gave Antony's funeral address from Julius Caesar.
