Prescriptions Plans were finalized for the Mixed Fun Bonspiel at the Curling Club on February 27, with a social to follow at the Legion Hall. Lunch will be served and members and guests are welcome to this event. Winners of the home bingo were announced as Mesdames H.Solly and A. Boutilier. There will be a general meeting on the 29th with Mesdames T.MclInnes, K.Johnson, C.Bougie and C.Marcella to serve on the lunch committee. Hermes and Galvin scored for Hawks with Papousek blinking the light for the Canadians. In the other game the Bruins defeated the League Champion Leafs by a score of 4- 2. Mrs. Shirley Mikus, chair. man, opened the meeting and welcomed those pre- sent. Mrs. Betty Turner recorded and, in the absence of the Treasurer, Mrs.Helen Brooks gave the financial statement, Reports were heard from convenors pre- sent with the chairman requesting all Convenors to submit reports if absent. Badge Secretary Mrs.Marg Simmer reported nine tests passed and one Golden Hand. Ways and Means convenor Mrs. Hilda Hiebert thanked all who so willingly contributed to the Valentine Tea and Cake Walk. Tentative plans were made for the Easter Bake Sale on April |7th. Presentation of a Guide cup and saucer was made to Mrs.Lois Downey and a Brownie cup and saucer to Mrs.Gladys Sitch by Mrs.Mikus, for over five years service in Guiding in Terrace Bay.
