Three delegates George Daniels, Cy Marcella and Lorne Vezina were appointed to the Zone meeting in Marathon next January. Members voted to award Meritorious Service Medals to Comrades F.Ginn and P.Coupal for their untiring efforts in building and keeping open the Legion Hall. PARENTS ASKED TO CO-OPERATE ~~ At the Town Hall meeting held prior to the elec- tion Councillor W.E.Cavanaugh made a plea to all parents to contact the local Police Department if they become aware of any trouble among teenagers or even have any suspicion of trouble. He and the Police Department are most anxious that the good reputation of our youngsters and our town be main- tained. CERAMICS EXHIBITED An exhibit of ceramics was shown Friday evening and Saturday afternoon and evening in the Art Centre of the Recreation Centre. The display was the products of two courses taken this Fall, one for the children and one for adults under the instruction of Mrs.Mary Middaugh. The results were most im- pressive from both classes with variety of colors and textures created through glazing, underglazing and degrees of firing in the kiln, besides the imag- inative forms of the artists. Each course was a five week session which in- cluded materials and glazes and firing and taught the coil method, pinch, slab work and sculpture clay, modelling, free form and design. They anti- cipate having further classes in the New Year. Approximately 150 persons attended the two day Show which was held in conjunction with the Art Club and their display in their permanent Art Show. Sandra Ziegleman celebrated her fifteenth birth- day Sunday, inviting her many girl friends in for an afternoon of records and party lunch.
